Bach, Johann Sebastian: Prelude No. 24

The prelude in B minor from Book I resembles a trio sonata movement, which suggested its suitability for a trio of viols (in G minor). The D# minor fugue from the same book maintains the somber mood of the prelude. Transposed back to D minor, its original key before Bach anthologized it into Book I.
